Power Management Company, an energy consulting firm and leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, is proud to announce the installation of four new Level 3, DC Fast Chargers (DCFC) at the Quicklee’s on Kenneth Dr. in Henrietta and four at the newly constructed Quicklee’s Travel Center on Porter Rd. in Niagara Falls, NY. These installations align with Quicklee’s ongoing commitment to advancing the EV charging infrastructure across upstate NY, with the support of trusted energy advisor, Power Management.
“We are proud to partner with Power Management in our journey to expand our EV charging framework,” said Ken Perelli, Vice President & Chief Operating Officer of Quicklee’s. “These installations not only signify our commitment to supporting the underserved EV market, but also showcase our adaptability in the ever-changing fueling and convenience landscape. With the help of Power Management, we’re ensuring that drivers have access to reliable and efficient charging solutions, furthering our mission of providing exceptional service to our customers.”
These latest installations bring the total number of Quicklees’ DC fast charging units to 18, which span its locations in Avon, Batavia, Belmont, Henrietta, and Niagara Falls. Each of the DC fast charging units, capable of charging at 125 kW, offers swift and efficient charging for EV drivers and takes between 15 to 25 minutes (depending on the patron’s car battery level and vehicle type) and a typical charge will cost the patron $15-$25 per charge.
“Power Management’s expertise in the EV charging arena has been instrumental in supporting Quicklee’s through strategic planning and complex installation projects,” added Perelli. “A prime example is the Kenneth Drive location, where they worked with RG&E to establish a new, dedicated service line for the installation, making the new charging stations possible.”
And Power Management is gearing up for additional installs with Quicklee’s this year, as the convenience store chain plans to install new DC fast charging stations at its 12 Corners Brighton location as part of its redevelopment initiative that has already commenced.
“We are proud to partner and plan with Quicklee’s and play a key role in its continued growth and evolution as they continue to build for the future,” said Michael Hedges, Vice President of Sales at Power Management. “They are at the forefront of sustainable transportation solutions and are quick to adapt to the changing needs of the communities they serve.”
As a leading provider of EV fast charging solutions, Power Management is seeing an increased demand for EV fast charge installs across a range of industries. What used to be reserved for hotels looking to better accommodate guests and commercial employers looking to get a leg up on competition for top employees, is now being adopted by a wider variety of quick stops and destinations alike thanks to the enhanced quick charge technology DCFC units provide and enhanced State, Federal and utility incentives available.
“We are dedicated to advancing the EV infrastructure and providing quick and effective charging solutions when and where drivers need it most. We look forward to partnering with more types of area businesses to create a convenient and reliable network of fast charging stations for EV drivers, which tends to be the biggest deterrent of car buyers choosing an EV over a plug-in hybrid or internal combustion engine vehicle.”
